FOOTLOOSE IN ITALY

A successor to this is again a bright and breezy baedeker which preserves the native excitement of Italy and subdues the ""somniferous effects"" (arts, history, churches, ruins). The concerns here are superficial as well as classical; Tyrone Power and Barbara Hutton lend glamour as well as Nero; and you will learn about where to eat and sleep, what to buy, as well as what to see; Italian men, cuisine, bathrooms, cars, travel specifications and routes. The coverage ranges from Rome, up north to Assisi, Siena, Florence, Pisa, Bologna, and south to Naples, Pompeii, Capri, Sorrento, Sicily as well as Vanice, the Lido, the Dolomites, the Lakes. Entertaining, elegant, this is for a classy clientele and not that schoolteacher's summer abroad.
