THE CHRISTIAN WITNESS IN AN INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY

One of the most exciting ventures in the post-war German churches has been the Manz-Castel Mission, created through the labor and leadership of the author among the unchurched industrial population of these industrial cities of West Germany. This volume sets forth the theological and ethical premises that have underlain, and been expressed in, this venture -- also known as the ""Gossner Haus"" mission. The book consists of a series of papers, addresses, sermons, and study reports, delivered by the author to his congregation, on the radio, in various German cities, and in circles and conferences of the World Council of Churches.
