KIRKUS REVIEW

An enchanting collection of familiar old folk fables and stories of nature, animals and people, how and why stories and ""tales just for fun."" Most of the stories are retold by Ross Dobbs in a simple, gentle style, fresh with no cloying whimsicality. There are delightful translations and original stories by other authors. Excellent bed time reading with the stories short but with dramatic values and a gay charm. Good material for story telling too.
