MY BEST FRIENDS ARE DINOSAURS

The Greeks called them terrible lizards, and dinosaurs still attract an almost universal fascination for their awesome size and fearful strength. The little boy, narrator of this book, has other ideas --""My best friends are dinosaurs, /I love their scaly necks./ My favorite ones are Bronty [Brontosaurus?]/ And Tyrannosaurus Rex."" The jingle goes on to point out a lot of silly things that the dinosaurs didn't do, such as painting or dancing. Practically any school child has more advanced information on this popular subject than this book contains, and should certainly know better than to want to be chummy with Tyrannosaurus Rex. Except for the big grins, the dinosaurs are adequately approximated in the illustrations.
