KIRKUS REVIEW

Not the usual string of biggests and bests but decently written, nicely developed records of recent first year NFL players who made names for themselves: Gale Sayres, Jim Hart, Bubba Smith, Paul Warfield. The author characterizes the difficulties and achievement of each athlete, also includes a little of his personal life, without becoming repetitive or sycophantic (in fact, he even points out better longtime players). Extremely helpful glossary from Audible (n.) to Zone defense--a touchstone for touchdown counters.
