This is a re-run of some eleven of ""Professional Football's Great Championship Games"" from the Great Sneakers Game (Chicago Bears vs. N.Y. Giants in 1934) to The War of the Coaches (Baltimore Colts vs. Cleveland Browns in 1964). An opening chapter sums up the history of this sport from its neglected and more dangerous beginnings at the turn of the century to its stellar spectator appeal after the war with television accelerating this advance. Statistics and records append each game to which Liss shows not only some of the vital features but also that the men behind the numbers are more than an aggregate of muscles chasing a ""puffed up pigskin."" Energetic sportscasting which should kick off.
