CAPTAIN BINNACLE

A let's pretend book, with the make believe quality well sustained, indicating the author's ability to identify himself with childhood. Three children and a retired sea captain carry out a program of adventure with the stranded vessel in which the old man lives the scene of their activities. Amusing and original in conception and execution. Just how well the story will carry over with young readers it will be interesting to watch. I feel that it should be given to children who want their adventure in the form of escape reading.
