JUNGLE RIVER

Pease can usually be counted on for a good adventure yarn, but in this story of South American jungles and a race for oil claims, on the part of representatives of several nations, he overstretches the long arm of coincidence and forces his situations beyond the bounds of credibility. The result is a confusing and unconvincing story, with Don, son of a missing engineer, as the hero of exploits that an adult could not compass. Background of country and native customs seems authentic.
