KIRKUS REVIEW

John Craig gained his clock and dagger experience with the government in WWII and attempts to turn it into big money as an agent provocateur in one of Africa's British outposts. The natives are restless all right, but can match him and the authorities for cynicism, intrigue and dirty wheeler dealing. Craig creates an international incident and, if it weren't for the unlikely and obligatory sex scenes, this might live up to the jacket claim of another Spy Who Came in from the Cold.
