KIRKUS REVIEW

With the ignorance and misinformation prevalent in this supposedly informed era, this proselytizes, justifiably, in the field of proper parental sex education, since neglect is responsible for many of the contemporary catastrophes,- divorce, promiscuity, abnormality, as well as juvenile delinquency. The first step- your own attitude, so often reflected in the child's; the words to use; the questions that will be asked- and how to answer; when- and how much- information to give. Particular problems,- nudity in the home, masturbation, menstruation, how to handle them; phases of behavior and development both normal and abnormal; counseling, before and after marriage, and where it may be secured; the role of the school, the church, psychiatry, and how moral and religious concepts are related, and so on. A book' for both parent and teacher, for the institution as well as the home, this is plain spoken and helpful.
