THE PRISONER OF LOVE

Mr. Monteilhet, all gall, with another one of his sophisticated entertainments which is almost more of a de Maupassant conte than a mystery, consummated with humor and-- cynical sin. Based on a witness' memoir, letters, etc. this tells of the hapless Oreste, arrested for his non-interference in his third wife's death. His second Wife had presumably died, in an accident, but proves to be alive-- and what a resurrection: she's vicious, and exhausting (erotically), and demanding..... All of this is as brief as a bikini and what's in it is tempting enough.
