KIRKUS REVIEW

Family affair, when a father of three is murdered -- and the gardener's daughter, loved by the son, is done likewise by. Young Raleigh, summering as assistant gardener, plays in with the police to solve a thinnish case based on back history. Not plotworthy, and tries hard -- unsuccessfully -- for mood.
