THE ELIGIBLE BACHELOR

Everyone who has read Four in Family and The Roving Eye will want this -- and for those who haven't, it should produce plus sales among those of your customers who like quiet humor, human foibles gently spoofed, Wodehouse toned down. Crispin, unmarried offspring of our friends the Warmstrys, is the object of much match-making, but manages to escape the clutches of several promising candidates and marries the girl of his own choice. There are many entertaining characters -- there is a feud between the Rector and a retired Admiral, whose wife paints pictures -- good reading -- good fun.
