DIVE: The Story of an Atomic Submarine

This is the story of the modern submarine in its evolution from the most primitive of under water vessels. The various physical problems confronting the builders of the atomic submarine are investigated, the structural difficulties, the facilities it contains both as a war craft and as a ship on which to house men are described, its sonar devices are analyzed, and the training and duties of the crew are enumerated. Much is to be learned both in the field of modern warfare and from the point of view of the direction in which contemporary science tends, in this text based on the study of a hypothetical ship.
