FURIOUS YOUNG MAN by I. A. R. Wylie

This belongs with Ida Wylie's To The Vanquished rather than with her lighter fiction, such as A Feather in her Hat. In a limited sense it is tarred with the brush of propaganda, but the ""stigma"" is lightened by a touch of romanticism and humor. A young Englishman joins the radicals -- and finds that, in fact, not theory, against a Russian setting -- it's not quite what he thought it was at home. The story is adroitly interwoven with authentic material about the working of Communism, from the angle of an outsider looking in. This is the first Wylie book on the Little, Brown list. They plan to back it with substantial advertising.
