KIRKUS REVIEW

Combine those with a yen for inside stories of royalty and curiosity about cafe society and you spot the market for this. Frankly, we think it trash. Certainly an unpalatable portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. From his role as gay, charming, irresponsible Prince of Wales, to an equally irresponsible King, the Duke goes on- in the controversial marriage- to a role still unenviable. The Duke and Duchess are shown conducting themselves with less than the dignity of their station -frustrated and dissatisfied with their bargain. A scissors and paste job.
