Good ABC's- these treat their subject in generalized terms at first, stating that insects are animals and, like the rest of us, grow, eat, build, etc. Categorizing them then, the author brings out important traits of each type showing for example- the bees in their hive, the cocoon of a cecropia moth or the body parts of a grasshopper.
