KIRKUS REVIEW

Going from the general to the particular again, as she did in the insect book (above), the author's introduction to the rudiments of North American trees is simple but adequate. Discussing two main types- evergreens and broad leaved she enumerates products, characteristics and differences within each, showing leaf and trunk formation and stressing conservation.
