A play on the frisky, unpredictable March Wind takes the form of a little boy's imaginings after he finds a hat in a street puddle. Old and wet as it is, he puts it on his head and turns into magnificent people- a marching soldier, a cowboy being chased by Indians, an actor on a stage- before the March Wind in person comes to whisk the hat away. Vividly colored pictures by Vladimir Bobri make a fine show; but a few poetic concepts in the text may elicit some puzzled questions. Back sewn. Weak.
