KIRKUS REVIEW

One of the loveliest picture-story books of the Fall season, this new book by the gifted d'Aulaires whose Ola is still a favorite. The pictures are perhaps their best work so far --somewhat simpler in content than some of the earlier books, and with a corresponding text telling of the year round activities of Lapp children, during the long dark winter in the mountain home and the short summer in the village and the days of the midnight sun.
