KIRKUS REVIEW

A rather disjointed little picture story devotes a chapter to each of half a dozen or so different kinds of birds and small Johnny's observation of them. Picking strawberries, he hears a catbird, in winter he feeds the chicka, Blackey the he brings home as a baby etc. Rosy hued spreads by Elizabeth Webbe show Johnny in a garlanded of existence. Weak stitching.
