EXPLORING THE EARTH

A book which covers the colonization of America in three short pages can do no more than glance searchingly at man's exploration of the earth since civilization first began. In rough chronological sequence Mr. Evans covers the great territorial phenomena from Ice Age to Spate Age, packing in unusual historical details which will probably be lost, on teen agers not familiar with the subject. Less stimulating than scholarly, it must be read with world atlas in hand.
