DEATH WON THE PRIZE

Murder-mystery plus spy yarn as lawyer Gibson, and his snoopy sleuth secretary, Scraps, untangle the disappearance of a Seattle legal light, the murder of his assistant and the death of his sister, on an island in Puget Sound. Plenty of red herrings, suspicious doings, electrical knickknacks and a family scandal before the baddies get their just deserts. So-so.
