KIRKUS REVIEW

Fancy and feverish romantic misalliances as basis for murder, when Shannon young and beautiful, decides to marry her guardian, twice her age, after default by the man she loved. A will, medical malpractice, the unnecessary death of a baby, misappropriated money and an inappropriate affair provide sources for conjecture by Lt. Grady, and Katy. Shannon's friend who isn't talking more than she has to. A second murder and suicide lead to a satisfactory conclusion. Heart interest superseding head work -- but light touches for a story after Rinehart.
