HEAD OVER HEELS IN MURDER

By

Pub Date: April 28th, 1940
Publisher: Farrar & Rinehart

Dirty linen and skeleton jangling come into the open as the investigation of the murder of Dana Laurence (a b-----h if ever there was one) proceeds under local lieutenant Grady, out to regain his lost laurels. The scene of them urder was virtually Times Square and everyone had a jimdandy motive, so there are red herrings all over the place. But a spurious accusation gooses a phony confession and then comes the ""real McCoy"" and all is well. Tribal troubles tricksily told. Mystery-novel rather than run of the mill whodunit. Told in Mary Roberts Rinehart manner, with first person relator. This was an honorable mention winner in the contest.
