THE SECRET CAMP

This has such unusual and such good factual material that it is too bad we can't recommend its presentation in fictional form, which is slow motion for all but boys interested in the trail-blazing, map-making sides of scouting. For those, it will find its place. The story of the exploration and mapping of the area of ""the secret camp"", with details of a technical nature, with the struggle to keep the camp secret, the discovery by a nice gang of boys, the somewhat dragged in spy-kidnapping- all somehow fail to merge into a balanced story. Recommend on factual content.
