KIRKUS REVIEW

This is no book for sizzles but it won't hurt mature boys and girls to know something of the wasted generation growing up to a civilization that thrusts them aside. This is the story of the ""lost boys"" of Canada, through three weeks in the lives of two youths, one has come in ""on the rods"", the other barely escapes with his life after a run-in with the police. It is a story of violence and terror, of a strike, of two lost lives. Plenty of young people are reading Steinbeck. They can take it.
