They both are--real-life sisters and fellow officers Irene and Caryl. Even if writing, let alone telling a story, isn't their beat (publicist Lynch's contribution seems impalpable), they have worked up some of their experiences into a routine. Here they appear as Ruth and Kay, very good at decoy work, when a special unit is formed to crimp the porn market from prosses and pimps to deep-gulleted pictures. They're recognized by somebody up there (the vice business extends all the way to high places), a hit man is hired to dispose of them and one is overdosed with LSD, the other assaulted and their superior killed. Staunchly uninteresting, even if they do put a collar around the ring.
