BICYCLE REPAIR: A Concise Guide

Illustrated with businesslike photos, this no-nonsense repair manual goes a lot farther than, say, Sarnoff's Great Bicycle Book (KR, p. 519, J-165) in outlining do-it-yourself methods for changing and patching tires, repairing wheels, cleaning chains, and maintaining brake shoes and cables, and it carries none of the superfluous baggage common in other gimmick-oriented bike books. Unprepossessing, but aimed at handymen who care less about having a flashy bike book than getting the job done.
