KIRKUS REVIEW

Stories for beginners and 8 -- 11's are Mrs. Black's specialty, particularly animal stories, and for samples see her Dusty and His Friends, Spoodles The Puppy Who Learned and others. They all have the same quality of natural humor as this. Things start being laughable when Pete, bought from a pet store by the Langs, get them saying ""Pass the birdseed!"" too. Then when the Langs go on a trip, Pete escapes and is found by Andy the boy next door , who takes such good care of him that the Langs give Pete to him when they come home.
