This book fulfills a double function, -- it provides certain groundwork which should make growing boys and girls more intelligent citizens, and it gives a good vocational approach to an important profession. These two functions are blended by a process of approaching advertising first with an objective, critical understanding of its purpose, its methods and its good and bad points; and by studying the various channels which have been opened by and to advertising, -- periodical and newspaper advertising, radio, word of mouth advertising, public relations, etc.
