DANNY DUNN AND THE HEAT RAY

Danny Dunn's adventure in science- usually on the fringe of fantasy, with more than a modicum of fact behind them, are sure favorites with the 9-12 year olds. Danny, in and out of mischief, is the despair of his teachers and parents- and their right and shining hope. For he manages to fumble in and out of trouble in his eagerness to pursue his scientific experiments. This time he has a new adventure that uses up to the minute scientific data- as he decides to try for himself with Irene's assistance, the laser, which he is convinced can be practical in application. Science-minded youngsters of today love this series, and ever this unscientific minded adult found this entertaining reading. Checked for scientific accuracy- as are others of Danny's experiments.
