This is the second book on glass for this season. The first was Walter uehr's book which was reviewed on page 190 (J-78). This one covers much the same territory regarding the history, manufacture and present day applications of glass to modern living. There are major differences between the books. This one is illustrated with black and white photographs and goes into substantially more detail at almost every point. This last is particularly noticeable in the sections on the early methods of manufacture and in the section on present day uses of various kinds of glass products.
