RADIUM TREASURE

The story of the Curies forms the main part of this book about radium, but the emphasis on radium, its use, its sources, its importance is, presumably, the reason for the lack of focus on the two who gave it to the world. While following the outline of Eve Curie's superb biography of her mother, this somehow falls short of reflecting its magic. Perhaps it will serve -- for under teen age, as a spur for further exploration and reading the adult book, which is so simply told that all ages enjoy it.
