ROJECT GEMINI

This latest entry in the lists of the way-it-is-planned-to-be comes from the competent and facile pen of the editor of Space/Aeronautics magazine. Project Gemini, the necessary next step on the way to the moon, will involve more than one astronaut. Mr. Stambler follows the Project from the idea stage to its production, the trip itself and the return to earth. The book is crammed with small technical details but does not bypass an intelligent though brief discussion of the larger goals of new knowledge and technical advances. What the astronauts are expected to encounter on this venture, their complete schedule of activities and the plans for dealing with the possible emergencies are all described here in the main part of the text.
