There is too much rhyme and neither enough reason nor nonsense to the substance of a story of a small child, assigned by her mother to answer all bells and take messages while Mother is down cellar. But to Nell, this means inviting everyone in, - the postman, the ice-cream man, the organ grinder and so on, until Father arrives and finds a party under way. Even the Leonard Weisgard pictures lack the charm he ordinarily exercises.
