KIRKUS REVIEW

A nice anthology we (as well as the publishers) hope will do its bit to inspire more and better reading. Drawn from the works of familiar poets of the last hundred years, the selections are grouped in sections animals, people, journeys, fantasy, the world of nature, seasons and humor. The host of authors that includes Carroll, Kipling, de la Mare, Lear, Vachel Lindsay, Mase- field among its fifty or more names, needs no more than mention for the enjoyment it will give.
