Good trash. By which we mean that the story moves along, the situations are fairly original, the poor-little-rich-girl theme is given a new twist, and the curse of possessiveness and jealousy is shown up in its true colors. The story of a gilded childhood, a few stray wild oats, a marriage built on a sense of impermanence, and the good effects of the crash in the market, -- all this makes a pretty safe blend for popular consumption.
