FLIGHT TO EVERYWHERE

This is sure to be a popular holiday sales item -- a superb book of photography of the Air Transport Command -- a 32,000 mile journey in which an ace photographer has preserved in color (150 of them) and in half tone (300) -- the men, the bases, from the Arctic to the African desert, the varied phases of life and activities, of work hours and leisure time. Furthermore, the text is vivid and essentially readable, informative to some degree, and with an anecdotal quality that makes the pictures more meaningful. I've seen the book only in parts, but it promises to be a superb piece of bookmaking.
