KIRKUS REVIEW

A slight nature narrative follows the growth of a wild wood duck after Jane and her grandparents find him on their driveway. With careful care and feeding, Woody becomes a healthy duck and the mild experiences he has with his humans serve to reflect his characteristics. When a government birdbander comes to mark Woody and set him free, Jane and her friends know they will be able to keep track of him.
