KIRKUS REVIEW

A stereotyped English horse opera. Sue and Tim Forrest and Dick Long-acre train Lady Luck, hoping she can beat the competition of the Bracket Gang--Reg Bracket, Weevil, Bruisy Noggin and Foxy Burrows. (The horses have better names.) It's one hurdle after another as Lady Luck pulls a tendon, Dick breaks his leg, and Sue breaks her collarbone but Tim surprises Bruisy and Weevil trying to dope Lady Luck and he also rides her in the big race. Beastly dialogue, characters who never get past the starting post--no horse of a different color.
