KIRKUS REVIEW

Deal with philosophy of individual, state, religion and history and shows where philosophy for the millions ran off the track. Kant, Hegel, Hobbes, Descartes, Marx, Dewey and others, in this author's opinion, helped in the confusion. He believes that much philosophy of the immediate past has been the spurious offshoot of the theory of evolution; that we have accepted a machine philosophy and a scientific theory which makes man the victim of environment and heredity, which led us to set up our material world as a false god.
