MR. WHITTLE INVENTS THE AIRYOPLANE

This is a puzzler. Frankly, I think its psychology is adult rather than juvenile. Hence the suggestion of using it as a read aloud book. Mr. Whittle, the handyman, entertains a spellbound small boy with stories of his exploits in his childhood. Pulls the long bow, but does it with good humor and a thorough understanding of the excitement of the land of pretend just over the line of possibility.
