HOW TO RUN A SMALL BUSINESS

Based on the research done by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the N.Y. State Department of Commerce, this is a ""collection of ideas on how to make more money"" and a record of many of the causes of business failures. There are no magical formulas, but a good many mathematical ones in what is a strict, technical analysis of profit-building, accounting, tax management, credit and installment sales, insurance, the avoidance of frauds, the ways in which you can finance your business; the second section is devoted to particular businesses, the operation of a store, a plant, a business office, a wholesaling firm. There's no time out for small talk and this makes no concession to anyone without a good head for figures.
