KIRKUS REVIEW

This sounds highly specialized. Practically, I suppose it is. But I found it interesting, in view of having watched progress on a parkway these past months, and many others not in the field, will have the same reaction. For cities and state road administration offices, for landscape engineers and city planners, this should be a necessity. The author covers every aspect not only of elementary planning, but of execution, covering every problem and all the basic factors, but he goes into the question of upkeep and how to plan for that in advance by careful grading, planting, etc.
