THE SINGING COBBLER

Modern fairy tales, but not to be slighted on that account, even if it does seem incongruous to introduce the World War and other landmarks of the 20th century into stories of magic and wonder. Good yarns with surprise endings, and told with a zest and enjoyment that makes for good reading and good story telling.
