This is a basic introduction for high school students to the theories and methods of experimental psychology. The world is available to us through our senses. Their capabilities and limitations and the role illusion plays, begin this investigation. Learning theories are then described, the differences between animal and human abilities, the function of memory and the differences among human beings themselves measured in terms of I.Q. and emotions. aspects of normal and abnormal psychology are also outlined as the authors attempt to relate a good deal of the material to the student's life. There are a score of experiments to perform as well as some forty illustrations. It is an informative book which should fill a need for many novices anxious to pursue careers in the field.
