THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING

Being the first part of The Lord of Rings"" of which The Hobbit (1938) presented only selections, here is the magic of elves, dwarves and hobbits and their determination as a free people to withstand the threat of the Dark Power. It is the adventures of Frodo who, coming into the heritage of the ring, is subject to increasingly worse dangers and pursuits in the inner-earth land. For perambulatory narration and the wonders of a wonder world, this is very nice.
