ADVENTURES OF A BIOLOGIST by J. S. Haldane

ADVENTURES OF A BIOLOGIST

Another popular book in the scientific field. But it is a scientist attempting to popularize his stuff for laymen, and in spite of a certain interest in the subject (good air, bad air, supplying air to a deepsea diver, etc.) it is on the whole rather mediocre. Not, as the title leads one to believe, a collection of personal scientific adventures, mainly autobiographical, but a hodge podge of scientific articles, lectures and radio talks. He discusses the weather, life, death, protoplasm, hemophilia, human biology and politics, biology and town planning, the Marxist philosophy and the predictions of the next 33 years.
