KIRKUS REVIEW

It is hard to look at this as a ""juvenile""; actually it belongs in the young adult bracket, since the characters are all adults, chiefly young men and mature men, qualified guides in the Zermatt area. It is an exciting story of a guide who was involved- through no fault of his own- in a disaster on the Matterhorn and who had lost his nerve. And of the challenge that restored his self-respect and confidence. Good mountaineering details -- written, with assurance of practical knowledge. A boys' best seller in Holland.
